E. R. Crain lives in Boston with her husband and two dogs, who remain blissfully unbothered by the murderous musings of their housemate. A devotee of psychological fiction, she believes the scariest stories are the ones that happen in ordinary life — with someone who could be your neighbor, your friend, or even your lover.

When she's not writing, she can be found with a cup of tea that's gone cold, a book she promised herself she'd put down an hour ago, and every light in the house on. This is her debut novel.

She is currently at work on her second novel.
